Project 4 Concept

My own interpretation of a "visual sequential narrative" is going to take form in a .gif format as well as a flipbook, and I plan to draw/illustrate using a tablet on photoshop. My concept will be an exploration of daily life with an emphasis on the mundane. These are loose examples of comic/graphic novel pages I've worked on in the past, with some imagery I may intend to incorporate.

Project 5 In Progress

I plan to combine digital imaging and screen printing, as I am in ASU's Print Club and have access to screens. I will be printing a digital piece onto a blank canvas tote bag, and will be inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's flower paintings as well as her works on skulls.

Project 4

With Project 4, I completely changed my idea a few class periods before the final piece was due. I went to bing and searched for a New York cityscape photo and found a youtube tutorial showing how to pixellate an image. I used photo filters on the image beforehand, and then went to the tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exTCjgrFR0A&t=441s The concept is speaking on the ephemerality of the city and of modernity, inspired by the quote by Karl Marx "All that is solid melts into air"
